Set up Your Dream Vanity Room in 5 Steps

Set up Your Dream Vanity Room in 5 Steps

If we’re really honest, we often spend more time on our makeup than a musician behind the scenes of her headlining tour. That’s not a bad thing though! We all deserve dedicated ‘me time’, and we deserve to indulge in it, somewhere pretty.

That’s why for most, a room dedicated to, well… us, is the dreamiest of concepts. Welcome, the vanity room. Your own little haven designed purely for beautifying yourself. The best part of course, is decorating it. The hardest part? Choosing between the countless options of pretty palettes and accessories and making sure that they’re as functional as they are beautiful.

From a vanity mirror illuminated by light bulbs, to that oh so expensive Scandinavian fur stool that you can’t stop thinking about.

Here’s how to decorate your vanity room in 5 simple steps.

  1. Lots of Layering

When it comes to a vanity room, less is more definitely doesn’t apply. Layer, accessorise, and throw in a multitude of textures. Incorporate metallic details against wooden finishes and of course, no vanity room would be complete without adding some faux fur blanks, cushions or stools.

Whether you go for a ‘scandi’ style, or opt for super girlie embellished accessories, faux fur is the lust-have addition you need to complete your vanity space.

  1. A Hollywood Style Vanity Mirror

Now this, needs to take centre stage. The best part of the whole room, is choosing the perfect mirror that’ll illuminate your glow, show off your highlight, and add a much-needed touch of glam to your beauty cave.

Our range of Hollywood mirrors offer a fix to all your beauty junkie needs, from crystal encased LED frames to statement LED bulbs, we’ll help you achieve your perfect look and give the Kardashian’s glam room a run for its money.

  1. Florals & Greenery

Add in some of your favourite greenery and a bouquet of flowers too. The best part is that you really don’t have to spend a lot of money on them either, keep it simple and cute with a small vase of fresh blooms to give your vanity room the perfectly ‘finished’ seal of approval.

Top trick? Fake florals! If you’re a busy gal, you might not have time for a weekly flower refresh, so some fake roses or even dried flowers work wonders.

  1. An Inspiration Station

Whether you have the luxury of a separate vanity room or your beauty haven takes up a designated spot in your bedroom, incorporating an inspiration station of photos, arty prints and even some cute books will add a little inspiration to your routine.

We love the idea of floating decorative shelf above your vanity mirror, full of all things girlified.

  1. Make Sure it’s Multifunctional

Last but not least, if you’re short on space, style your vanity space carefully to ensure you’re left with some multifunctional magic. One of the simpler of ways to make a vanity space work in a smaller room, is to double it up as a bedside table.

Keep your brushes and pretty little decorative accessories on one side of your dressing table, and your phone right next to you, on charge, where it belongs – don’t worry, we’ve got you girls.
